  Reasons You Shouldn't Go To Meetings

  Some of my reasons are...

  1. Repetitive, therefore, boring beyond belief.
  2. Dislike the faked love-bombing from people that I know don't give a rat's butt about me.
  3. Hate to dress up so many times per week. Sundays would suffice for me.
  4. Gas is too expensive these days to be going to the same place to hear the same stuff all the time. Once per week would be more than enough.
  5. Too many crazy people at the KH. Literally. In the majority of congregations, the mentally unstable outnumber the ones in their right mind. It's darn scary!

  haha i hope this doesn't come across as mean or jerky or libelous... but i can totally see defd becoming apostate... he posts here a lot which means he reads even more.

  to me it's just a matter of "seeing it when you're ready to"... kind of like those 3d art things that were popular in the mid-90's... it's invisible until you make deep focus and at the same time blur your eyes to what you would normally see.

  i imagine that by now, most of what we should have on hand will be empty shelves in the stores.

  please, huge warning, if you're an angry ex-jw, save your bs advice, i dont' need to hear you put jw's down just to give advice.. i was raised a jw & am still bitter over injustice growing up at the hands of my elder father, and bitter over the abuse of my ex-husband.. i miss my fam, i miss peace, i miss a sense of belonging.

  any advice on how to gain inner peace w/o selling myself out?.

  The only thing I could tell you is that, due to missing my family so very much, I sold out.

  Now I'm forced to lead a double life, and it stinks to high heavens.

  when disco was king, and real men back then were required to dance.

  johnny terrio, saturday night fever, medallions and open shirts exposing much chest hair, if you had any.

  What are you talking about?! I loved the 70s and 80s!!!

  I could dance that disco music so well! Loved the beat! Didn't like the fashion, though.

  Even rap music had a nice beat back then, and wasn't as raunchy.

  KH meeting - boring!

  i'm not a jw but a friend of mine who is a jw invited me to the memorial service at the kh this year.

  i was raised catholic but now i'm agnostic/atheist.

  one thing that struck me was how horribly sterile and boring the memorial service was.

  Wohooo ... last university assignment finished !

  it feels soooo good having finished the last assignment for the open university courses i've been doing - the 18th one this year .

  now i just have to revise for the exams (3 of them over 2 days) ... and if i get at least 40% then i pass, get an extra qualification and we get extra immigration points to get us on our way to canada.

  anything extra is a bonus ... distinctions would be nice but i need to get 85% in the exams for that.. although i resent the impact of the wts on my life and not being able to go to university when i should, this actually isn't a bad way to do it - you don't run up massive debts like current students do and because you have more experience probably do better at a subject than if you are starting out.

  am i being spiteful?

  my doctors surgery has a jw on the reception and i dont want her to have access to my notes in am going to ask the doctor to make sure she is denied access is this being spiteful?

  she would not talk to me otherwise so why should she have acesses to my most personal information.

  You're definitely being spiteful. Business is purely business. Unless she's being rude or unbusiness-like to you, let it go.
